WOYWW #125

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday #125

I have forgotten to tell you all about who started this
For the first time I have been able to bloghop
to a few links and leave comments.
I hope to visit all the blogs in the links to say thanks for
their eye candy and wonderful ideas.
I actually look forward to Wednesdays now
(today is Monday and I'm already
wanting it to be Wednesday LOL)
So I did promise some of you that I would show you (shock horror!!) the rest of my craft space other than the dining table which in this case is the floor underneath and the side table where everything else is stored.  But there is story as to why its like this and has been for the past year~story at end

So now I can show you what I've been working on the past couple of weeks, it was a Christmas card swap which I was hosting on BSL, an online craft group.
I needed a magnifying glass to cut otherwise my eyes go all blurry after awhile and it's very annoying,
I have glasses but they don't seem to stop the blurrying
Come back and visit my next post with a Christmas ornament
and a blog hop of the same to see some great ideas

  6. Great to see an honest expose of a creative mess. Not bad there and certainly full of creative interest. Love the ornament result too.

If you fancy doing a swap... I'll send some old lace in return for something you have lots of or no longer need and maybe an ATC or a tag too! Just let me know. x

  7. It's a great desk, with lots of cool stuff going on. As for storing things on the floor, why not? Where else should you store things? The floor should think itself lucky to be used in such a way!

  9. Ah, now that is a true crafters domain right there! I'm having trouble with cutting out and any close up fiddly work these days, but I think that I just need a trip to the opticians!

  11. Me again!! Forgot to answer your question Bridget. No didn't make my ATC holder thingy, it was a couple of quid in a cheap store. I did buy it originally thinking I could make a fancy bottom and have it as a giveaway but I never got around to it (the 'bottom' is just a white cube). I think it is supposed to hold photos and works quite well with ATCs as long as they are not too heavy.

  18. I also use all the space around the floor. And I could not do without my Ottlite - that enables me to do without the magnifier most of the time.

  20. Hi Bridget - thanks for your comment on my blog! Actually, it may look like a small space to work on my desk, but there's just a lot of stuff on it - it's quite big really! I also have my brown table (on the bricks lol!) beside it, and I've got plenty of room!

  24. Hi Bridget! I'm sorry it took me so long to come and comment back for WOYWW. I love your workspace!! And so what if it's a little messy...it just makes it cozy and more creative!!

You asked me a question in your comment about how to make the glimmer mists...I found a small little spray bottle (holds maybe 3 or 4 ounces) at a Target (or most any variety store should do) and I filled it about 4/5 of the way with water, than I filled the bottle the rest of the way (leave a little room to shake it though) with metallic acrylic craft paint. The brand I used here is called Folk Art, but any brand would work as long as it's really shiny paint. The water makes it sprayable and dulls down the color a little, so dark colors work really well, but I think any color would do.

    Thanks for stopping by!!
