WOYWW #128

What's on your WorkDesk Wednesday here already!!!

What happened to last week??? I haven't
had a chance to visit any WOYWW blogs
and wham its Wednesday again!!

Well it didn't last long did it?
ahh well if it was clean I would be worried
it would mean I wasn't being productive
I can't believe none of you have a scissors addiction like I do.
Click on clean desk above to see my collection
The mess started like this.......

Ok hop on over to Julia Dunnit's blog to see all the other
not so clean desks, or you may be surprised,
for some reason last week most of us got our
desks cleaned.
(I have a bee in my bonnet. Some blogs I go and visit aren't really playing with memes and only using it as a way of gaining traffic to their site that has nothing to do with messy desks or Friday Fences which is another meme I participate in. This can be annoying when you are trying to visit over 100's of sites, so play nice people! And they're not linking back to
Julia or Janis' blog's.
And no spam comments either, thank you very much!!)

  1. I've started removing links to blogs that aren't really playing WOYWW, it is a bit annoying! You seem to be in mass production mode - are those little envelopes waiting to be made up?

  2. You sure are a busy bee, if your desk is anything to go by, Bridget!

  3. Looking good here...and looking tidy to me. I do have 4 pairs of scissors on the my desk and then a few deckle ones in a box - so a slight fetish... Thanks for sharing today, Sarah at 2.

  4. Whoo, great desk! Happy WOYWW, helen at 12.

  5. Well done for saying what needs to be said - it is soooo annoying when people enter WOYWW just to advertise...grr.
Have you got a craft fair or something coming up as you seem to be crafting for Australia there! Great busy desk though, that's what we like to see :D

PS Lunch Lady Jan is the cleanest name that Julia calls me - the one that I can put up on the Interweb!!

  6. Lovely busy desk - lots of creativity going on - thanks for the peep (and I agree about those who aren't playing nicely) - Hazel WOYWW #43 x

  7. Hi Bridget, when I uploaded my WOYWW 128 post before I went to bed (12.30 a.m.-ish) Julia hadn't yet started the page. I've just done it now - and I'm back off to bed for a bit!! I'm not too good in the mornings! If I don't upload my post before bed, it's ages till I manage to get it done on Wednesday proper, although strictly speaking it IS done on Wednesday - just! So I'm now up and running - Shoshi #61! Have a great WOYWW and don't lose any scissors!

  8. I'd love to tell you the names, but it might be the end of a beautiful friendship!! And she's a dear mate, so I can't risk it :D

PS I'm not psychic, it says Canberra as your location :)

  10. Lovely busy desk there - I am in awe of your paper trays at the back (puts my 12 to shame!) - I probably have a scissor addiction too as I seem to have one for everything else crafty! Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sunshine Girl – No 34

  11. Oh I must have been lucky as I don't recall seeing any rogues but I do get annoyed when commenting (via Just for Fun DT) on entries which are obviously plugging their own challenges and not really interested in ours. I could go on and on but won't.
Anyway, don't have a scissors fettish although I can count seven pairs in my room and not deckle ones either. Or do I?
Thanks for sharing everything (including your pink lamps)with us - Hugs, Neet #9

  12. Mm, I agree with Neet's comment on the scissors I do have heaps in various locations as well as about six or eight craft one - have to have pair in most rooms in the house with the obvious exceptions, and so guess if put mine altogether would like your pile easily, think Julia is partial to pair of scissors or two... thanks so much for missing me last week, it is nice to be missed!
I did have a chuckle as I read down the various comments above-- part of the fun of a very happy WOYWW! Shaz in oz.x

  17. Lol, I'm with you, I left a rambling compllaint on Julia's comments too.

I usually don't bother to leave comments on those blogs that are not in the spirit of WOYWW. It is still time consuming and a real drag.

I love the mass production going on there. I am envious of your craft room. It looks awesome!

Thanks for the peek and sharing. Hope you are having a great WOYWW,
    xoxo Marjo #109

  19. Like Neil, I seem to have been lucky and missed those who are not playing properly. I hope that if anyone feels that way about my posts, they will tell me, so I can put things right. I love the way you have shown the progression on your desk, but it is still not messy. Thank you for your visit this week. The Silhouette is a computer controlled die cutting machine that allows you to create your own designs, and to cut out really intricate designs. you can also draw with it, using special pens and the Sakura pens. The Cameo is the brand sparkly new machine which will cut a full 12x12 paper or card. If you want to know more have a look at the Silhouette website, which will tell you far more than I have learned so far. Have a great crafting week. Maggie #82

  20. Love your crafting area ...so much going on ...so much to nose around. I have to agree about those not playing the game...there are the ones only interested in foot fall and pushing their sites for watever reason ...then there are the 'look at what I can do ... but not bothered about you' brigade. I dont care how many blogs are visited by one person as everyone has a life out side woyww and the other fun sites...BUT ...I do think they should try to visit those who bother to visit them ...sometime during the week ....
OK I'll get off my soap box now. lol xx

  22. Yes... it would be nice to see what you made of all those unfolded envelopes/boxes. I can join you in the scissor frenzy. I have several different ones but my favorite have to be a small, cheap pair that I bought at a scrap convention that are for cutting ribbon. Heaven! Thanks for joining my What's on Tap Tuesday as well as WOYWW. I love to follow the links down the rabbit hole. *smile*

  23. Thanks for the snoop. Great pics. Busy you. I finally got my photos up. The SD card spoke to my computer at last. LOL. You are right about some folk not actually playing. Good for you to say so. Have fun.

  27. Hi Bridget

I think I might have had a scissor fetish at one point, but I'm over it now! I'll have to dig out a photo of my scissor storage! Thanks for stopping by... (am @ 55)

  28. I checked out your scissor collection and it's fantastic! I have a few myself. I agree about not sharing your messy or clean desks! I didn't do that this week but I do usually show my work that was created on my desk - not sure that's right though now that you mention it. You have a point and I'm glad you brought it up! I noticed your photoshop 9 there, I would give anything to figure out how to use that! I've tried man how I've tried! I'm planning on taking a course which I believe it will help!

  29. For being number 1 this week, I'm awfully late visiting. I'm so sorry I'm late, but, after a computer crash I had to stop by and get a bit of inspiration from your die cuts and scrapbook layouts. I have also noticed a few people who aren't really showing their craft spaces. Sad, but a fact when you have so many links.

  30. Wow mass mode in the making, I'm late this week so I'm off to search for the finished outcome lol. Yep it is so annoying when visiting other woyww blogs to fine no desk but obvious advertising. I have 20 decorative edge scissors, 2 fabric scissors, 10 scissors I use for crafting and 5 for embroidery, does that class as an addiction to scissors? Lol. Kezzy x

  31. Lordy, you've definitely got a production line going there, what are they all for, a fair perhaps or maybe a school event. Well done for saying what has to be said, WOYWW is for workspaces, not advertising!

  32. Aww Bridget, I so agree with your last comment about people not “playing fairly” when participating in the weekly blog hops. I myself always like to dedicate an individual post when I play along so that when people visit from a direct link they go straight to the post. Being the ever optimist thought I hope that they will like what they see and then maybe take a peek at the rest of my blog and even follow the links in the side bar to my Heritage and Cross Stitch blogs too, so well said.

Now onto your desk….and what a mess it is, Lol!
Lots going on by the looks of things and I couldn’t help but notice the dish of sweeties (perhaps because I mustn’t eat them) and the enormous paper collection you seem to have accumulated.

Thanks for stopping by this week.
    Happy Crafting!
    Sue
