WOYWW 305 & Postcrossing

I have a new desk...hah....not really. This is our dining table upstairs. There is air-condition upstairs and none in my craft-room and some days have been so hot and unbearable I decided the "empty" dining table would be put to good use tee hee.

So I share the dining table with some folded laundry and fruit, my kindle which is sittiing on a plate/picture stand which is also used for my ipad upstairs when I need to get online.

The three folders beside that are my Postcrossing folder of swaps I am participating in and a world map to show me where postcards have been sent to or received from.

3D and touristy postcards I gathered on our Easter camping weekend for Postcrossing. I am having so much fun with this, one of my postcards that I sent to Germany has already arrived 7 days after I posted it so I go to pick another postcrosser to send my 6th postcard to. Those Thongy postcards I ordered that arrived in the mail yesterday.

Stamps from Hearfelt Creations and 3 packs of Gelatos, love those gelatoes.

So these are the latest purchases from Darkroom Door stamps.

For some inexplicable reason last night whilst on the computer, I started to get nauseous. Went to bed and woke up this morning and after 2 hours on the computer and turning the brightness down the nausea came back again. Very strange.

EDITED: Been to the Doctors this morning and he says there is a gastro virus going around and the fact that I got bitten so bad by midgies on the weekend whilst camping has exacerbated the nausea, vertigo and wanting to throw up and causing my fuzzy eyes-phew thought I'd have to stay off the computer for life-its my life and where all my friends live.

Anniversary WOYWW is here again-week 312 which falls on May 27th, so if you'd like to participate HERE is what Julia has in mind for that post. If you'd like to swap an ATC with me let me know in the comments so I know how many to make and send me your snail mail address via EMAIL

Joining Julia and her Stamping Ground to see more desks and hobbies around the world.

  17. Oh dear, I hope the nausea settles and the 'bug' doesn't take hold!
What a lovely collection of stamps! There is even a postcard stamp!
I'm glad you are enjoying Postcrossing. Are you doing private swaps as well? Those sandel cards look lovely. I'm sorry that I didn't show any postcards on my blogpost. I had one ready but it would have become much too long.
Thank you for stopping by earlier,
    Have a good week,

  19. Hope you will feel better, nausea is one of the worst bugs you can get, but often quickly suffered! If you can't sit by the computer, you will have to craft :)

And about my legs: My "desk" is a low living room table and I sit on the sofa. There is about 40cm space between the sofa and the drawers under the table, so my legs and feet find themselves somewhere... never had to think about it before I took the picture today and had to try and get the legs out of the picture!

  20. Bridget - that sounded terrifying, and I'm glad it was some virus that will go away! Love all your cute new stamps! I have to move to the dining table when I need to cut out a pattern and sew. Hugs, and feel better! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

  21. Hi Bridget, hope you feel better soon and can enjoy playing with that fabulous selection of stamps, I find ginger very effective for nausea, either as a cordial or ginger tea. Never heard of the postcrossing-sounds amazing :)
Wishing you cooler weather and a good crafty week.
Thank you so much for leaving me a lovely comment earlier :)

Sorry that you have been suffering with nausea - hope you recover quickly so you can enjoy catching up with your online friends again. It's warm and sunny here but definitely not sweltering so no need for air conditioning :) Have a good week and happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #50

  28. Hi, Bridget, sorry you haven't been feeling well. The air conditioning sounds very inviting on a hot day -- we are, of course, on the opposite seasonal cycle from you and are just, finally, crawling out of winter. The Postcrossing swapping sounds like fun and your new stamps look great. Happy WOYWW from Laura #55

  33. If I didn't have AC in my studio, I'd be moving to the closest room that had it too, so I can understand your move to the dining room table. The vintage stamps look like fun, especially that postcard one on the bottom right corner. I can envision multiple possibilities. I hope the nausea is gone, and that you're feeling much better overall. Happy belated WOYWW and Blessings!
