T Tuesday - Sapota Fruit

Found this fruit at the Asian markets called Sapota, very soft on the outside, at first I thought it was mangosteen but the mangosteen I know has a very hard exterior. Anyway this is so awesome in flavour. Googling only showed me yellow type of fruit so I have no idea why this one is purple. maybe it cant handle the plane ride from overseas to Australia hahahaha.

It was funny when I texted my brother to ask him if he knew what this fruit was called, he texted back saying "Try Sapota and its not the underwear". In Fijian sapota means underwear hahahaha.
I've been missing in action for a few weeks only because I've had no interesting tea stories to tell you. I had tea delivered to my table and saw this smiley face at the bottom of my cup, Love it!!!
I took a book to write while we were waiting to see the movie Everest at VMax, because hubby decided we needed to go 2 hours before the movie started LOL, I wasn't going to sit and twiddle my thumbs
EDITED: The movie Everest was very poignant for me as i had read all the Everest Mountaineering books that have been published so far. The movie Everest was made by IMAX during the worst disaster Everest had had at the time. It was interesting to see all the stuff I had read about like the Hillary step, the Khumbu icefalls and life in the tents at such high altitude. One book I read was about the making of Everest so it was wonderful to see that in real life and know it was all real.
My cup of tea was very interesting, it did not look like that in real life with a white blob in there, I think the light was playing tricks and I only noticed it when I uploaded the photo.

Joining Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T for Tuesdays to see more tea stories around the world.

  1. I love it when the light does funny things to your coffee or tea cup. The smiley face is adorable. I remember taking photos of some tea I made and it looked like the tea was still steeping in the cup, although I knew it couldn't be. I rotated the handle and realized it was just a shadow on the cup!

I have never heard of Sapota, but now I know NOT to look for undies! Thanks for pointing that out. Also, thanks for sharing your drink and your cute cup with us for T this Tuesday. So glad you were able to join us again, and I hope you enjoyed Everest.

  9. Hi Bridget, I recognised the bridge in your header straight away... always liked how they changed the coloured lights for different occasions! Loving your tea cup with the smile in the bottom, will be on the look out for one like that as it would be great to greeted with a smile at the end of my tea or coffee.

No, I have never seen that fruit, or heard of it. Very interesting.
I've not seen the film, but seeing it in 3d must be fabulous! I have read a few Everest books and it is all a bit harrowing really. Was it a good film?
