WOYWW #278 Ribbon Storage

Print Friendly and PDF
A real eyesore to an OCD person hahahaha

Answers to last weeks questions from commenters: Someone asked if I had any other ribbon other than green and white after last weeks desk post. So I thought I'd show you some of the ribbons I have unpacked so far.

Belinda also asked if I could reach the drawers in front of my desk and yes I can when I move the boxes between the tables and the shelving that are still to be unpacked hahahaha.

Those dowling sticks were made by my friend Sandra's friend. I've commissioned hubby to make me one with two square ends so I can lie it down on my desk with ribbons I use at the moment.

Cook books can be seen. Non slip sheets ready to stick on tiles for my photographic studio. Lace for any project. Dummy books. Glue sticks, my favourite go to adhesive for 3D projects. Blue and Red material for photographic props. Knitting needles. Empty corned beef tins ready for any project.  Glad wrap cores saved for a rainy day project.

  2. Ah, glorious ribbon - how I wish I could have mine on display!

Mine is hidden away in boxes, safe from the prying paws of my hunting boys!

Have a wonderful WOYWW and thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Love the ribbons on show - most of mine are just loose lengths, I don't buy many full reels.. sounds like you are sorting yourself out in your new studio! Helen 3

  4. Love the idea of ribbon holders with square ends! Most of my spools sit in some guttering attached to the wall (DH is an ex-plumber!) and lengths go into a draw - not very well organised :-).

  5. Thanks for answering my question about reaching the stuff behind your desks. I love all that ribbon. Mine is mostly in 1m pieces and so they are in a drawer...they spend a lot of their time trying to escape the drawer so I spent yesterday putting each one into a little bag so they don't get tangled up and make a birds nest like always when I look for the colour I want.

  7. Awesome ribbon storage. I love glue sticks too for the 3D stuff. I hate to come back and find that the ATG or glue didn't hold what I spent time gluing down! Have a great week and congrats on being first this week. vickie #25

  10. Very clever and certainly fab collection! Mine are all in boxes, wished I had more shelve space, this strikes me as very handy, you can see what you have and easily cut off what you need....

  15. No way would I show my ribbon! I started organizing it a year ago and got tired and quit. Now I have a nice neat box and a drawer that is a hot mess! I really need to do better!

  21. I love your ribbon storage. I have lots of ribbons but don't get to use them much. If I had them on display I think I would reach for them more often.
Thank you for letting me peep over your shoulder.
    Have a good week.
