If you go back to my last WOYWW post, when my friends and I last made Christmas cards for the soldiers. You will see how neat this dining/craft room was, some gremlin came in and stored all their STUFF in here lol
I really need to get some time to get it all back to a decent living soon
Looking towards the kitchen through the door on the left
Desk where my Silhouette Cameo 4 is going on
How did the desk in the office get so out of hand?
Hubby's side of the office
Garage where more craft stuff is stored and kombucha in the making in bottles
Aaacck what a horrendous mess
I went from an 8 meter by12 meter craft room to a garage and dining room. I must cull soon as all of this mess will not fit in my tiny spaces now, I can't complain, some people only have a cupboard.
Wow my last desk show was 9 months ago. How time flies.
Since September last year I worked 2 jobs Mon - Fri, so life got very busy.
My craft room is a terrible mess as you can see.
I've had my street library installed, still waiting for some good weather so I can paint and varnish it to weather proof it.
Next craft camp coming up March 20th and I also have some exciting news to share but that will come later.
I've had my new Silhouette Cameo 4 delivered last week, still have not plugged it in to try it out, that is how hectic my life is. However I am spending much time on line collecting hints and tips and svg files. I've resisted getting a cameo since its inception, hubby has been offering to buy me one for years, I eventually caved in and let him buy me one this time as it has much more now that it is capable of than when it first came out.
Also got a new worm farm/composter delivered too.
So hop on over to The Stamping Ground to see what others are up to on their desks.
wow is it that long since you last joined us! welcome back indeed! That is one heck of a mess... good luck and happy WOYWW Helen #2
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Bridget. My it certainly looks as if you have your work cut out for you. Hope you have some time to play with the new machine soon too. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteWelcome back oh I feel lke my mess is minor ! Take one area at a time and you'll soon have it in great order. Buzzing away creating.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a lot of things to find homes for good luck with that, as has been said one space at a time and you will in.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWDW and welcome back

Oh my goodness Bridget - what a lot of gear - the gremlins surely have been busy!! My studio is also rather cramped and messy - I was going to get it all sorted and re-organised after DH passed, but then my DD and SIL decided to rebuild their garage, and a lot of what was stored there is now at my place.... guess where!

You sure have your hands full with that clean up Bridget but just think how awesome it will look when you've all sorted. You have some great storage units to house it all. Have fun with that cameo!!

P.S Those Minky's are made for household cleaning with one soft side and the other raised for tougher areas. I highly recommend :)
It’s all a question of scale..my desk feels just as difficult to control this morning. Small starts make big endings! Its about time too, and you dont seem to have a lot of that. Although....the less time I spend at my screen, the more stuff I get done! Pretty sure you will love the Cameo and end up wondering why you resisted!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! great to see you again Bridget. Looks like you've got your hands full sorting that lot. Sending big WOYWW hugs, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteHi Bridget, how lovely to see you again! I do think that tidying comes way down the list of to do stuff when you are so busy. I'm sure you'll love your Cameo, I bought the Portrait 2 last year, to replace my old original Silhouette, that I must have had for at least 10 years, still worked, but couldn't use the latest software. The stencils I used on those cards were cut with my Silhouette. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a busy creative space...so much to do and so little time to do it though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier...I must say that I love my rabbits so much that I will struggle to sell one let alone 15....the 6 I've made are for my Grandchildren :-)
Hugs,

Welcome back we have truly missed you! Girl you have quite a bit of "stuff". I would never be able to find anything. When my desk gets messy I start to lose stuff like one of my dies. Good luck!

Oh, the joys of downsizing! I have that to come and do not look forward to it. Perhaps i will just stay put!
ReplyDeleteWhat is kombucha please?
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
Blimey, that is going to be a task and a half, but you'll feel so much better when you can see what's what!

You have a big job on your hands! I'm sure it's hard for you to even know where to start. There are 2 ways to tackle this 1) start in one corner and work at it for 15 minutes (set the timer) a day, putting things that don't belong in the spot that you are working into the next space you will be working on. going around the room, and 2) find a space in your house that you can remove everything to, empty the room as much as you can, then start to bring things back, thinking carefully about where they will go, and even if you need them or not. For both methods, have a give away box and a throw away box. Get rid of items in both boxes right away. I know both these methods because my whole house used to look like your room, and I just did method number two on my craft room last fall. Good luck and persevere! Have a great week, Lindart #20
ReplyDeleteNice to see you back, Bridget. I don't envy you the job you have sorting your rooms out but working two jobs doesn't leave much time for tidying, does it? And it makes the sorting out I have to do in here small fry in comparison to what you have to do. Lindart has some good advice which may help.Good luck and I hope the weather improves enough for you to paint your street library too - a great way of distributing books you no longer want. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #21
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Bridget - I was wondering what had happened to you! My goodness, that's a LOT of stuff... You will get it all sorted in the end, I am sure. Thank you for your visit and especially for your kind words about my work! It's been a bit on and off of late but I've got the drawing bug again...
