Last week we went for an R & R weekend down to the Gold Coast Hinterland at a place called Mt Tambourine. We stayed at a B and B called Aaronlee Retreat. It has the most beautiful view and is so tranquil, we would definitely go back again. Even the rain was magical to hear the sound on the roof while indoors as we were having a massage was just amazing beyond words.
There were lots of shops that took us 4 hours to walk through and that was only half the shops on one side of the road. It was a multinational mountain consisting of Polish, Bavarian, Irish etc restaurants and cafes that one could eat from. We weren't there long enough to visit everyone. The one disappointment was that not many of them were open for dinner and I can understand why, its not a good place to drive up to at night with the winding roads.
Above is the tea set that was in our retreat that I just had to photograph as it was so nice.
Joining Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T for Tuesday posts.
This place sounds lovely, and I truly adore that tea and coffee service you have shown us. The cobalt blue and white would be perfect in my kitchen, and the design of these pieces is gorgeous. I can see why this place would feel magical.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely tea with us for T this Tuesday.

It does sound lovely, and judging from the shape of the china, someone has their roots in Europe..that is a very northern European looking set of storage caddies! Mind, I'm not qualified to say that, it's just a familiar shape! Good to hear that you are taking R&R, very important!
ReplyDeletethat is a really beautiful tea set. Your get away sounds so wonderful...and a massage yet...I could go for one right now! Wishing you rest and a happy T day!

ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late...yesterday got away from me and this morning started with a trip to urgent care with the boy. I feared pneumonia...it's not. Likely influenza...great...the next two days are finals for him. BAH!!!!
