Working on 3 desks lately, this is my writing desk, letters on their way out the door, cook books on the left because I was in a recipe Round Robin where we all own a recipe book and send it to participants and they write or stick recipes in it and we get our books back full of recipes from around the world. The yellow book is one I just finished putting recipes in and will be posted.
Playing with my Dylusions spray and die templates to make awesome designs on envelopes
This envelope above to the left was decorated by mopping up the excess ink on the laminated sheet I have to protect my table. It made a pretty one of a kind envelope that you can't repeat again LOL
This desk had pocket letters on the go. I was testing out the Chameleon pens and colouring that candy cane in the book, it turned out well but the water colour paper bled too much. So going to try it on an envelope. The quotes to the right were ready to go in envelopes for my monthly envelope exchange that Jean Wilson runs. You can just see my Christmas CD I decorated with Lumieres, I was showing my friend how it is done, we can start to decorate them now as the weather is getting warmer. I have found you cannot do these CDs in winter, so its a seasonal design for sure LOLPlaying with my Dylusions spray and die templates to make awesome designs on envelopes

My third desk downstairs that is, I fished out some lumiere and folk art paints as I was searching for my H2os, still cant find them LOL

Aren't your postal exchanges interesting? It must be great fun participating in all these swaps! Am loving your envelopes too...why should they always be white and boring? Yours are much nicer :-)

Wow! You are busy! The recipe book sounds interesting. But I'll see what the travelling notebook is like first. I have put my name down for a couple but no-one has asked me for my address yet so it will be a while before its my turn I guess.
ReplyDeleteThe envelopes are awesome! And I love the idea of putting ATCs with quotes inside the envelope. I received a card yesterday in an envelope made of a calendar page. Very effective.
Have a good week,
Lisca
And have you tried any recipes yet? Love the frame on the third table...you know there aren't many people who have the space to enjoy a table for each project - how lucky you have a shop sized craft room, it must be lovely to just switch desks. Those envelopes are dazzling - ill make the mail day so much happier for someone!
ReplyDeleteBusy busy busy girl you are Bridget - just wish you would show some of your own work - I am missing it.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on being #1........love your Blog Bridge header it is really pretty. Great idea for envelopes...too bad the laminate sheet isn't a plain piece of card stock would make a great background. I'd love to start the pocket page exchange, just need to get past this season. A fun post and fun projects thanks for sharing Happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteI love the mop up sessions I have - a favourite technique of Dyans too. Don't you just love those sprays? I think they are the most amazing colours - have you tried her paints yet - marvellous.

Hi Bridget, and thanks for popping over to my desk. Have to agree the stenciled envelopes look fabulous. You certainly are a busy lady - 3 desks hey, I make enough mess with one. Have a great week Cheers RobynO#29
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed looking at all your desks, I was just thinking how a technique can translate into different forms of art as I stamp through mesh, only on glass.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week

Wow Bridget, what a lot of wonderful creative activity on your various desks! The recipe round robin sounds fun, and I love the look of the lumieres - I presume these are twinkling H2Os? I have just got a few but haven't tried them yet. Thank you for your lovely comment - I adore purple too - it's so very purpley isn't it lol!! I am looking forward to experimenting with my new Brushos and have various ideas lined up.

Busy desks once again! I'd love to have separate places for clean and messy projects, but having just one means it gets cleaned up in between... Love your envelopes :)
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting!
