So I have two compost bins that I have had going for 3 years, have not harvested anything so far because this is what happens. Obviously it's a very healthy compost because everything is growing out of it lol.
Pumpkin, ginger, turmeric, chokos, something else that is climbing, tomatoes.
So now I don't put anything in my compost that has seeds unless I want to plant it.
Ha ha…i have a similar problem: when i use my compost on my garden beds, i get pumpkins growingš¤£. Love your new veggie beds…timber and metal are such a beautifully earthy combination. Hate the plastic ones.
ReplyDeleteNow that is interesting - I sometimes have had plants grow in the garden after composting, but not in the compost bin itself - although that said, I have been known to pull out seedlings should I see anything sprouting...
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Blessings
